Long ago, as I am ancient, I was playing Pools of Radiance and I remember I lost control of a character. Don’t remember why. Charm or whatever but the computer equipped a bag for my character. The bag did vastly more damage than any weapon in the game. I can remember loaning my floppy out to a friend so he could have the BAG too. I have never heard anyone else mention it. Is this some crazy fluke/bug that occurred in my game or was the bag actually in there for testing or something? I’ve always wondered.

I think it was just a bug in the game, I recall the Commodore 64 version of Pool of Radiance in particular could corrupt items, when using certain magical items (Gauntlets of Ogre Power). The bug would often produce strange, and sometimes powerful items.

That explains it. I was on a c64. I also remember vaguely that I had to tilt my floppy drive to get things to load.

I did think it funny that my fighter went through the game beating things with a bag. I just pretended it was full of all the copper I didn’t want.
